Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about PixelFly and server-side tracking.

General Questions

PixelFly is a server-side tracking platform that helps e-commerce businesses send accurate conversion data to advertising platforms like Meta (Facebook), Google Analytics 4, TikTok, and LinkedIn. Unlike traditional browser-based tracking, server-side tracking bypasses ad blockers and privacy restrictions, ensuring your conversion data reaches ad platforms reliably.

Browser-based tracking is becoming increasingly unreliable due to:

  • Ad blockers blocking tracking pixels (30-40% of users)
  • iOS 14+ privacy changes limiting cookie access
  • Browser restrictions on third-party cookies
  • Intelligent Tracking Prevention (ITP) in Safari

Server-side tracking sends data directly from your server to ad platforms, bypassing all these limitations and capturing conversions that browser tracking misses.

  1. You add our lightweight tracking script to your website
  2. When a user performs an action (page view, add to cart, purchase), the event is sent to PixelFly
  3. Our servers process the event and forward it to your configured ad platforms (Meta CAPI, GA4, etc.)
  4. The ad platforms receive accurate conversion data for better ad optimization

The entire process happens in milliseconds without affecting your website's performance.

PixelFly currently supports:

  • Meta Conversions API (CAPI) - Facebook & Instagram ads
  • Google Analytics 4 (GA4) - Measurement Protocol
  • TikTok Events API - TikTok ads tracking
  • LinkedIn Conversions API - LinkedIn ads tracking

We're continuously adding support for more platforms.

Setup & Integration

Setting up PixelFly is simple:

  1. Create a free account and add your domain
  2. Create a container and configure your receivers (Meta, GA4, etc.)
  3. Add our tracking script to your website's header
  4. For WooCommerce, install our WordPress plugin for automatic tracking

Most users complete setup in under 5 minutes. Check our documentation for detailed guides.

No coding knowledge is required. For WooCommerce stores, our WordPress plugin handles everything automatically. For other platforms, you just need to copy-paste a small script into your website's header. We also provide Google Tag Manager templates for advanced users.
Yes! We have a dedicated WordPress plugin for WooCommerce that automatically tracks all standard e-commerce events including PageView, ViewContent, AddToCart, InitiateCheckout, and Purchase. The plugin handles all the technical details and sends events with complete product and order data.
No. Our tracking script is extremely lightweight (under 5KB) and loads asynchronously, meaning it won't block your page from rendering. Events are sent in the background without affecting user experience. Our global CDN with 300+ edge locations ensures fast script delivery worldwide.

Pricing & Payment

An event is any tracking request sent to PixelFly. This includes page views, add to carts, purchases, and any other custom events you track. Each event sent to our servers counts against your monthly quota, regardless of how many receivers (platforms) you forward it to.
We accept payments via bKash, Nagad, and bank transfer. After selecting your plan, you'll see our payment details. Simply send the payment and upload your transaction screenshot. We'll verify and activate your subscription within 24 hours (usually much faster during business hours).
We'll notify you when you're approaching your limit (at 80% and 100%). Once exceeded, events will be queued but not processed until you upgrade or the next billing cycle begins. We won't cut off your tracking without warning, and we'll always give you time to upgrade.
Yes! You can upgrade at any time and the new limits will apply immediately. For downgrades, they'll take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. Contact our support team to process any plan changes.
We offer a 7-day money-back guarantee for first-time subscribers. If you're not satisfied with our service, contact us within 7 days of your first payment for a full refund. See our refund policy for complete details.

Technical Questions

Cookie Life Extension is a premium feature that extends the lifespan of tracking cookies from the standard 7 days (due to ITP) to up to 1 year. This means you can attribute conversions to ad clicks that happened weeks or months ago, significantly improving your attribution accuracy for products with longer consideration periods.
Click ID Restorer recovers lost click IDs (like fbclid for Meta or gclid for Google) that get stripped from URLs due to redirects or link shorteners. This ensures your conversions are properly attributed to the correct ad campaigns, improving your ROAS reporting accuracy.

Yes, we take data security seriously:

  • All data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS encryption
  • Personal data (emails, phone numbers) is hashed before sending to ad platforms
  • We don't store personal customer data longer than necessary
  • Event logs are retained for 7 days

See our privacy policy for complete details.

Yes! With our Starter plan and above, you can set up a first-party domain (like track.yourdomain.com) for your tracking. This makes tracking requests appear as first-party traffic, further improving data accuracy and bypassing ad blocker restrictions. We provide DNS setup instructions in our documentation.

Support

We offer multiple support channels:

Our email support is available during Bangladesh business hours (9 AM - 6 PM BST, Saturday-Thursday). We typically respond within 24 hours, though response times are often much faster. For urgent issues, Pro and Enterprise plan subscribers get priority support with faster response times.
