BetaImport into GTM to hold COD purchases at /cod/hold. See the setup guide.
sGTM Web Container
Client-Side COD-readyYour website’s GTM container. Sends GA4 events to your PixelFly sGTM server and runs the Meta Pixel, with Google Ads and TikTok tags ready but paused. Includes the COD Protection switch, off by default.
sGTM Server Container
Server-Side COD-readyYour server GTM container. Sends events to GA4 and the Meta Conversions API, with TikTok Events API ready but paused. Includes PixelFly COD Protection and the Data Client for confirmed COD orders; nothing changes until you turn COD on.
Using COD Order Protection?
Stores without COD import both containers as they are. To hold cash-on-delivery orders until they’re confirmed:
- Web container: set the variable
PixelFly - COD Protectiontoon. - Server container: set
PixelFly - COD Hostto the Hold URL on your container’s COD Power-up without/cod/hold, andPixelFly - COD API Keyto the container’s API Key. - On the COD Power-up, choose fire path sGTM, then publish both containers.
- Google Ads: in the server container, fill
PixelFly - Google Ads Conversion IDandPixelFly - Google Ads Conversion Label, then un-pause Google Ads Conversion (COD confirmed). Skip this if you import GA4 purchases into Google Ads, or each COD order counts twice.
Your purchase event must include payment_method (the WooCommerce plugin sends it). Prepaid orders still go out at checkout; COD orders go out once confirmed. Until the server’s key and host are filled in, nothing is held.
GTM Container - Proxy (any website)
Proxy NewBuilt on our sGTM web container, for stores without a server container: Meta Pixel, GA4, Google Ads and TikTok in the browser, PixelFly server-side events with the same event IDs, thank-you page reload protection, and COD Order Protection. Works with the WooCommerce plugin and custom sites.
- Fill
PixelFly API Key,Meta Pixel ID-000andGA4-FM ID(your GA4 Measurement ID). - GA4 purchases: leave
PixelFly - GA4 purchase viaonbrowser, or setpixelflyif you add a GA4 Receiver in PixelFly. With COD, choosepixelfly: confirmed COD orders reach GA4 (and Google Ads through a GA4 import) only that way. Never both, or GA4 counts each purchase twice. - COD: set
PixelFly - COD Protectiontoon(see the box below). - WooCommerce plugin: leave its API Key empty (this container sends the server-side events), and with COD turn on the plugin’s COD Order Protection in GTM / sGTM mode.
- Google Ads for COD orders: add a Google Ads (click conversions) Receiver in PixelFly (it needs a Google Ads API developer token and an “Import from clicks” conversion action), or import GA4 purchases into Google Ads. Use one, not both, or each purchase counts twice.
Using COD Order Protection with a Proxy container?
The Proxy container holds cash-on-delivery orders until they’re confirmed. Stores without COD import them as they are. To turn it on:
- In PixelFly, turn on the COD Order Protection Power-up for your container.
- In the container, fill
PixelFly API Keywith your container’s API Key, and your Meta Pixel and GA4 IDs. - Set
PixelFly - COD Hostto the Hold URL on the COD Power-up without/cod/hold(your tracking domain, orhttps://track.pixelfly.io). - Set
PixelFly - COD Protectiontoonand publish.
COD orders then send nothing at checkout (Meta Pixel, GA4 and PixelFly purchase wait); prepaid orders go out as usual. Approve & Fire in COD Held Orders sends the purchase through your Receivers. Full setup, Google Ads and testing: COD Order Protection. Your purchase event must include payment_method (the WooCommerce plugin sends it). Until the API Key is filled in, nothing is held.
